What size propane tank do I need for a house in Florida?

For a home running a generator, pool heater or several gas appliances, Gas Solutions Plus most often installs a 500 gallon tank; a 250 gallon tank suits a range, water heater or fire feature, and 1000 gallon tanks serve whole-house or estate loads. The company sizes the tank to the connected load before quoting.

Should my propane tank be above ground or underground?

Both are common in Florida. Above-ground tanks cost less to install and are easier to service; underground tanks are hidden from view and protected from weather but need excavation, an anode for corrosion protection and backfill. Gas Solutions Plus installs both and advises at the site visit based on the property, clearances and budget.

How far does a propane tank have to be from the house?

Under the Florida LP gas code, a tank up to 500 gallons is generally set at least 10 feet from the building and from any source of ignition, and larger tanks farther; local rules can add to that. Gas Solutions Plus confirms the required clearances at the site visit before the tank location is fixed.

How long does a propane tank installation take?

The installation itself is usually completed in one day once the permit is issued. Permit timing varies by county, from a few days to a few weeks. Gas Solutions Plus gives customers a tracking link that shows the job's progress from permit to final inspection.
